Our history

About Us

Tenuta Maglietta as we know it today was founded in the 1940s by Massimo Maglietta, a doctor of agriculture. Thanks to his studies and expertise, the estate has gradually developed and today consists of 62 hectares.

Initially, the land was arable and used for cattle grazing. It was not until 1965 that the farm was completely converted to vineyards, olive groves and arable land, to concentrate on grape and olive production from 1970 to the present day.

The passion for cultivating the land has been handed down from father to son. In fact, in 1975 Maurizio Maglietta joined the company alongside his father and later became its owner.

In the last few years, the third generation has been joined by his children Massimo, Jessica and Mauro Maglietta, who have contributed and will continue to contribute to making the company in step with the times, to making it known even outside the Molise region, focusing on digitalisation and technology. All this without losing touch with the company’s roots, but creating the right combination of history and innovation. In fact, the three main values of sustainability, passion and care for the land have been safeguarded, implementing them with technology.
